Channel Manager
Professional+What it does
The Channel Manager keeps your room availability and rates in sync across all the online booking sites you list on — such as Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb — from a single dashboard. When a room is booked on one platform, it is automatically marked unavailable everywhere else, preventing double-bookings.
Prerequisites
- An active account on at least one OTA platform
- Admin role in the dashboard
- OTA integration feature enabled for your property tier
How to enable
- Log in to the staff dashboard as an admin.
- Go to Channel Manager in the main navigation.
- Click Connect next to the channel you want to activate.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your credentials or API key.
- Once connected, the channel status will change to Active.
The system automatically syncs availability every 15 minutes. You can also trigger a manual sync at any time.
How to configure
Room mappings
Each room needs to be linked to the corresponding listing on each OTA. Go to Channel Manager > Room Mappings, select the listing for each room, and save.
Rate markup
Set a markup percentage per channel to account for OTA commissions. For example, if Booking.com takes 15%, mark up by 15% so your net revenue stays consistent. Set this under Channel Manager > Channels > [Channel Name] > Edit.
Rate parity alerts
The dashboard warns you if rates are inconsistent across channels. Review alerts under Channel Manager > Rate Parity Alerts.
How to verify it's working
- Open Channel Manager > Dashboard.
- Check that connected channels show a green Active status.
- Review the Sync History section for recent successful syncs.
- Make a test change (block off a room) and confirm it appears on the OTA within 15 minutes.
Common questions
What if two guests book the same room on different platforms?
The system processes bookings in real time with overbooking prevention. In the rare event of a conflict, the dashboard flags it immediately for your review.
Do I still need to log in to each OTA?
For availability and rate management, no. Guest message replies and platform-specific promotions still need to be managed on each platform's website.
How often does the sync happen?
Automatically every 15 minutes. You can trigger an immediate sync by clicking Sync Now on the Channel Manager dashboard.
